Rockwall EDC  |  01-Dec-2009

The Rockwall Economic Development Corporation (REDC) held its first annual "Party in the Park" on November 5th at the Rockwall Technology Park in recognition and appreciation of the businesses and their employees.  The Rockwall Technology Park is the premier business address to several Fortune 500 and 1000 companies.

REDC President and CEO, Sheri Franza welcomed the crowd and thanked the businesses for choosing Rockwall and the Technology Park as home for their business and recognized each of the 10 companies located in the Park for their continued support and contribution to the Rockwall community.  Mayor Bill Cecil also addressed the crowd with strong words of support and kicked off the event in great Rockwall fashion.

The event was very well attended by the business located in the Park.  Business owners and employees of Falcon Fine Wire Products, Inc, L-3 Communications, Inc., Graphics Microsystems, Inc., Morpak Specialties, Inc., Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation, Precision Sheet Metal Shop, EZ-Flo Inernationl, Inc., Col-Met Spray Booths, Inc., Special Products & Manufacturing, Inc., and EmPhysis Medical Managemetn, LLC celebrated and enjoyed the evening event.   Business and of Park businesses such as L-3 Communications and Special Products and Manufacturing.  Also attending were REDC Board members John Floeter (Chairman), Dale Morgan (Vice Chairman), Corky Randolph (Secretary), Kevin Fowler, Mike Lucas and other City dignitaries.  Party in the Park was catered by Soulman’s Barbeque with a full barbeque dinner and all the fixings.  Entertainment was provided by Tommy O and the Bahamas band, playing Caribbean themed music and bringing an island vibe to the Party that got the people dancing!

The REDC would like to thank everyone who came out to join us for our first annual Business Appreciation Party.  We had a great time and look forward to hosting Party in the Park again in 2010.
